Untitled 02:47
Untitled pay no mind to who is first or last odds can change before the die is even cast don’t obsess by what you can’t control you’ve made your play, now it’s time to let it roll luck comes and goes stay on your toes have faith, believe but always keep a few tricks up your sleeve we all get got and it ain’t ‘bout fair you’re no better than the next man, don’t you dare I’ve seen the ceiling, I’ve seen the floor such is life, what is the point in keeping score luck comes and goes stay on your toes have faith, believe but always keep a few tricks up your sleeve

A Rocky Plot to Plow we may be in the valley now but we'll reach the peak again some way, somehow not quite sure where we go from here hope and love must flood the barren plains of fear we've got a long road up ahead painful wounds are keeping us from breaking bread we all live beneath one warm sun yet our collective soul is on the run...our collective soul is on the run let's stop and start again we're in too deep to breathe now baby hold sacred, common ground we’ve left ourselves with a rocky plot to plow we can be quick to pass the blame but we're far less different than we are the same a roof, full belly, an honest shot that ain’t a lot to ask, but a lot ain’t got a rising tide will lift all boats but the rhetoric's hittin' all the wrong notes we all live beneath one warm sun yet our collective soul is on the run...our collective soul is on the run let's stop and start again we're in too deep to breathe now baby hold sacred, common ground we’ve left ourselves with a rocky plot to plow

Nowhere Left to Hide every now and then we’ve got to stop and look at where we’re going what do we hope to reap when we kill off the very seeds we’re sowing life’s a fleeting moment, blink and you’re out of time don’t miss your chance to make things right, don’t wait…such apathy’s a crime each day is a gift promised with the dawn we all take for granted such mercy’s often lost amid the din we can grow disenchanted life’s a fleeting moment, blink and you’re out of time don’t miss your chance to make things right, don’t wait…such apathy’s a crime we’re one step away from the ledge, yes full and complete disaster yet we've got to hold out hope and keep the faith navigating seas no soul's ever mastered life’s a fleeting moment, blink and you’re out of time don’t miss your chance to make things right, don’t wait…such apathy’s a crime break free… of the chains that hold you down inside you’ll see… one open heart can bridge the great divide…wash away the tears we cry… can bridge the great divide…wash away the tears we cry… there's nowhere left to hide

Staking Claim learning to forgive ourselves is often hard to do we can't seem to let go until we're battered, black and blue our cross is ours to bear each will cast a unique shadow peace is found within how we get there only we know on and on this endless cycle is unforgiving a new day has dawned staking claim to a life worth livin’ there's no turning back just here and now and what will be so many wasted nights yet steps away from breaking free must leave the past behind start again, own imperfection hope begins to bloom now's the time, rejuvenation on and on this endless cycle is unforgiving a new day has dawned staking claim to a life worth livin’ deep down…I’m searching for…the strength to…unlock the door… to a brighter world…where new dreams unfurl…what’s left, but more learning to forgive ourselves is often hard to do we can't seem to let go until we're battered, black and blue must leave the past behind start again, own imperfection hope begins to bloom now's the time, rejuvenation on and on this endless cycle is unforgiving a new day has dawned staking claim to a life…staking claim to a life…staking claim to a life worth livin’

Your Crazy 03:22
Your Crazy who’s to say what’s wrong or what is right in love there is nothing black and white don’t apologize for how you feel only you can know when it is real empirical analysis and studies do conclude that no one’s got a clue as to what puts us in the mood let the so-called experts claim they’ve got it figured out trust your heart, that what it’s all about be yourself…an open book not one collecting dust up on the shelf don’t run and hide…we all must find our crazy feed the fire that burns inside passions don’t fit neatly in a box we’re all just waves crashing on the rocks embrace the fact life’s a total mess those with too much sense end up with less empirical analysis and studies do conclude that no one’s got a clue as to what puts us in the mood let the so-called experts claim they’ve got it figured out trust your heart, that what it’s all about be yourself…an open book not one collecting dust up on the shelf don’t run and hide…we all must find our crazy feed the fire that burns inside no road, freeway paved for the wistful soul but love, my love may reveal what truly makes you whole

about

This is EP serves as my official debut. After playing throughout the Hampton Roads area since 2012 and posting music to SoundCloud, I wanted to release a proper record. Recorded in the late spring and summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented Jacki Paolella and put out a collection of songs that truly captures who I am as an artist.

Each song is intensely personal, but I hope that each individual listener can discover their own meaning within the music. In spirit, they are as much your songs as they are mine. Enjoy!

about

Dan Pellegrino Norfolk, Virginia

I grew up playing in a punk/metal band, but never really thought about venturing out on my own until my dad passed away in 2011. I wrote a song for him and performed at his wake. This moment revealed a new creative path and has helped me reflect and explore feelings of love, loss, friendship and family.

Thanks for listening!
